For funeral directors and celebrants

Mention it once.
Family and friends do the gathering.

Videmory Tribute is a funeral slideshow the family and friends make together. They get one private link, everyone who knew the person adds their own photographs and video, and the family brings you one MP4 file, made to the minutes you gave them. Nothing for your staff to collect, rename or upload. The family pays AU$199. You pay nothing and sign nothing.

How it works for a family in your care

You hand over a link. Family and friends do the gathering.

  1. 01

You give the family the address

On a card, in an email, or in your arrangement pack. We can give you a link of your own to hand out.

  2. 02

They start a tribute and share it

One person enters the name and dates, and sends the private link to relatives and friends.

  3. 03

Family and friends add what they have

Photographs, video clips and short video messages, from their own phones and computers, with no account and nothing to install.

  4. 04

    The family reviews the film

They correct dates, choose the music, set the film to the time you have given them, watch it in full, and change it until it is right, before paying.

  5. 05

They download it for the service

The family pays AU$199 and downloads the film, then sends or brings you the file.

What it could take off your desk

Less collecting, less preparing.

How much time it saves depends on how you prepare photo tributes now. These are the jobs it is designed to move from your office to the family’s own phones.

Collecting the photographs

No gathering pictures by email, USB stick and shoebox. Each relative adds their own through the family’s link.

Preparing the film

No evening at an editing program. The film is built from what the family adds, in the order of the life.

Fitting the service

The family can set the film to the minutes you have in the order of service, from 30 seconds to 60 minutes.

The example

Remembering Dave, 1938 to 2026.

The example a family sees on the Tribute page: one life, in order, from a back step in Port Pirie to a Sunday lunch eighty-four years later.

“Remembering Dave” is a fictional example made for this page. Dave Moretti is not a real person, and these are not a customer’s photographs. It is a Life Story, the fuller keepsake. The film was built by Videmory exactly as it would build yours.

Service preparation and delivery

What to expect, and what not to.

  • A standard MP4 video file in full HD (1080p), landscape or portrait
  • Built to the length the family sets, from 30 seconds to 60 minutes
  • A watermarked preview of the whole film before the family pays
  • The family can keep adding photographs and previewing the film until they buy it. We suggest they buy once the film is final, a day or two before the service
  • A private share link, so relatives who cannot attend can watch it afterwards

What Videmory does not do

It does not record or livestream services, and nobody from Videmory attends. It does not promise a turnaround time: the film is built when the family asks for it, and a longer film takes longer to build. It cannot test the file on your equipment, so please play it through before the day.

What it costs

The family pays AU$199. You pay nothing.

The family pays Videmory directly for one finished film, and AU$15 for an additional version if they want one. There is nothing for you to buy and nothing to sign.

If you would like a link of your own to give to families, ask for one below. It tells us which families came from you, and nothing about them is sent back through it.

To forward to a family

Four short guides, whatever they use to make it.

Plain answers to the questions families ask you first. They are useful to a family making a slideshow any way at all.

Questions

What funeral directors and celebrants ask.

Does the family need an account or an app?

No. The person organising starts a tribute in a web browser and is given a private link and a PIN. Everyone else opens the link, types a name and adds their photographs and video. Nothing is installed.

What do we receive from the family?

An MP4 video file in full HD (1080p), in landscape or portrait shape, built to the length the family set. If the family has also made a Wake Slideshow for the gathering, that is a second file, silent unless they added music, and the player showing it has to be set to repeat. They can send it to you, bring it on a USB stick, or share a private link you can download it from. Please play it through on your own equipment before the service.

What about music?

The music in the film comes from Videmory’s own library and is credited at the end of the film. A family cannot add a commercial song to the film itself. A song that matters to them can be played at the service under your own arrangements.

Can Videmory make the film for the family?

Not at present. Videmory is something the family uses themselves, with as many relatives helping as they like. If a family needs a hand, they can contact us and a person will reply.
