How it works
The organiser creates the project and sends one private link to the group. Friends and family open it on their phone, choose their photos and videos, and upload them without installing an app or creating an account.
You create the trip, share the link, keep an eye on what has come in, and decide when the collection is finished. You choose how long the film should be and how it should feel, then start the build. You are the only person who can start a render, and the only person who can download the finished film.
They open the link on their phone, pick what they want to add from their camera roll, and watch it upload. That is the whole job. No app, no account, no password — because every extra step is another person who never gets around to it.
Worth saying when you send the link: send the ones worth watching again, not the whole roll. Forty considered photographs from someone make a better film than four hundred taken on the same afternoon, and on a long trip a thousand files between a group goes faster than people expect.

Send the link through your group chat, text or email. A QR code can also be used when everyone is together.
The original photos and videos are best because they still contain the date and time recorded by the camera. Videmory uses that information to put the trip in the right order.
Uploading directly from a phone is usually easiest. A computer also works well for camera cards, GoPro footage and folders of original files.
Files forwarded through a messaging app usually lose the date the camera recorded, and screenshots never had one. Videmory does what it can with those: it will not believe a date that is obviously the day somebody forwarded the file, and it can work out where a photo was taken from the ones on either side of it. Originals are still the ones that land in the right place every time.
Open the same link again and continue. Videmory keeps track of what arrived, so successfully uploaded files do not need to be sent again.
Contributors can tell you they have finished, so you are not left guessing whether Dad has more on his phone. You will see who has said they are done and who has gone quiet, which is usually enough to know whether to wait or get on with it.
The organiser can see the uploaded photos and videos before building the film.
You can leave out anything you do not want used. Excluding a file does not delete it, and you can change your mind until the build begins.
You can also open a longer clip and choose the part worth keeping, so a ninety-second video becomes the ten seconds that matter. If you do nothing, Videmory chooses a section itself.
Video clips also carry their own sound, and you decide what happens to it. Leave it alone and Videmory works it out for itself — it keeps someone talking or laughing and drops wind and traffic. Or say so yourself: keep the sound on a clip where somebody says something worth hearing, or mute it on the one where you were talking over the top of the view.
Each finished film has two choices: length and format.
Full-length Film. The one your trip makes unless you say otherwise. Everything that passes the quality check, in the order it happened, however long that turns out to be.
Highlight Film. The shorter alternative: the strongest moments of the trip, capped at six minutes. It is offered once the full film would run past six minutes — below that the two would come out the same, so there is nothing to choose between.
16:9 landscape works well on televisions, computers and standard video players.
9:16 vertical is designed for phones and vertical sharing.
Each combination is a separate version. A 16:9 Highlight Film and a 9:16 Highlight Film are two delivered films.
Introductory launch offer: your first finished film is just AU$49, with additional versions only AU$15 each. An additional version is built from the memories already uploaded — the same trip in a different cut, not a new one. Introductory pricing is available for a limited time and may increase in the future.
Choose the mood that suits the trip and Videmory selects a licensed soundtrack.
If the first soundtrack does not feel right, try another before paying. Changing the soundtrack is free and does not change the price of the film.
Every film starts on a title card — the trip’s name and dates over one photograph — and closes on the credits over the same one. Videmory chooses that photograph, and you can overrule it. If there is one shot that says what the trip was, make it that one.
Videmory reads the capture date from each file and arranges the trip chronologically. Longer trips are divided into days and places so the film follows the journey from beginning to end.
The quality check can leave out files that cannot be opened, are clearly unusable or are near-duplicates of another shot. The Highlight Film also makes a tighter selection to stay within six minutes.
Nothing is dropped silently. While the film is building, Videmory accounts for every file you sent and shows you what it used and what it set aside.
The cuts land on the beat, so the film moves with its soundtrack rather than alongside it. And when a clip has someone talking or laughing in it, the music drops back so you can hear them.
Building a film takes time because the photos and videos must be checked, edited and encoded. The project screen shows the build progress and the completed film appears there when it is ready.
The preview is the complete edit from beginning to end. It uses the real order, cuts and soundtrack, but is shown at a lower resolution with a watermark.
Watch it before deciding. Paying unlocks the full-quality MP4 without the watermark.
Purchased films stay in My Projects, where they can be watched and downloaded again during the hosting period. Each film is downloaded separately, which works more reliably on phones than a ZIP file.
Buying also settles the trip’s memories. Once a film has been bought, nothing more can be added, removed or re-trimmed — which is what makes another version the same trip in a different cut rather than a different film. Building more versions stays open.
Finished films stay available for 30 days from your most recent purchase. That is the window for downloading them, not the life of the film — the MP4 you download is yours to keep for good. Get it onto your own device and back it up; the hosting is a convenience, not the only copy.
If you no longer want the original uploads stored, choose Delete Uploaded Memories. Your purchased films, previews, sharing and downloads remain available until they expire, but no new versions can be made.
Choose Delete Entire Project only when you want the uploads, films and project links removed.
Start the film now and share the link whenever you like — nothing gets built until you say so.
